Call, establish, move
Make routine ship-to-ship and shore-station calls efficiently.
Core lesson
Call the station, usually no more than three times, then say THIS IS and your vessel name/call sign. Once contact is established, move to an appropriate working channel when directed or agreed. Repeat essential positions, times and instructions back when misunderstanding would matter.
